Cleaning and maintenance

Proper care and maintenance of your treatment applicators ensures hygienic use, effective delivery and longevity. This guide explains how to clean and care for the LEO Scalp Roller, dropper and targeted spray.

## Before you start
- Always wash your hands before handling any applicators.
- Work on a clean surface to avoid contamination.
- Make sure the applicators are cool and dry before storage.

## Cleaning the LEO Scalp Roller
1. **Detach the roller unit.** After each application, unscrew the roller unit from the bottle and set the bottle aside.
2. **Rinse with warm water.** Rinse both the roller head and the short nib housing under warm running water to remove any residual solution. Rotate the roller balls gently to dislodge any trapped liquid.
3. **Allow to dry.** Shake off excess water and place the roller and nib on a clean paper towel. Leave to air dry completely before reassembling. Do not use soap, detergents or abrasive cleaners, which could damage the roller mechanism.
4. **Reassemble.** Once dry, reattach the roller unit to the bottle and replace the cap.

### Weekly deep clean (optional)
If you use the roller daily, perform a weekly deep clean:
- Soak the roller head in a bowl of warm water for 5 minutes, agitating gently.
- Use a clean soft brush (such as a toothbrush) to gently brush around the roller balls.
- Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.

## Cleaning the dropper
1. **Remove the dropper.** Unscrew the dropper from the bottle after use.
2. **Flush with warm water.** Draw up warm water into the pipette by squeezing the bulb, then expel it. Repeat several times until no solution remains. Avoid using detergents as residues may contaminate future doses.
3. **Dry and store.** Shake off excess water and place the dropper on a clean surface to air dry before placing it back on the bottle. Do not use the dropper if the glass pipette is cracked or the bulb is damaged.

## Cleaning the targeted spray
1. **Detach the spray head.** Twist off the spray unit from the bottle and detach the small straw if present.
2. **Rinse nozzle and straw.** Hold the nozzle and straw under warm running water. Pump the spray a few times while under water to flush out residual solution.
3. **Dry thoroughly.** Allow all components to air dry on a clean surface before reassembling. Ensure no water remains inside the spray mechanism as this can dilute the solution.
4. **Wipe the exterior.** Use a clean dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the spray bottle and nozzle.

## Storage and replacement
- Store applicators in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Do not share applicators with anyone else to avoid cross‑contamination.
- Inspect applicators regularly for signs of wear, damage or malfunction. Replace the applicator if the roller balls stick, the dropper leaks, or the spray nozzle becomes clogged despite cleaning.
- Keep all applicators and medicines out of reach of children and pets.

## Summary
Cleaning and caring for your LEO applicators preserves the quality of your treatment and minimises risk of contamination or irritation. Rinse each device after use, allow it to dry fully, and store it safely. Replace any damaged or worn components promptly.
